iPhone 5 - Speculations

The iPhone 5 is coming. Everyone is expecting iPhone 5. But due to unavailability of 4G LTE modem, Apple is set to release iPhone 4S this year and save iPhone 5 for 2012. Shipping of iPhone 4S will start on September 2011. The iPhone 4S will have the similar design as the iPhone 4, with improved performance using A5 dual core processor, better camera and will support more network standards.

But what about iPhone 5? Here below are the speculations.



White Model
iPhone 4 had some difficulties when trying to come out with a white model last time. They had some problem with white reflection interfering with the camera. Now that the white version of iPhone 4 is finally out, its pretty sure that it wont be put to waste in the production of iPhone 5. Users will then be able to choose between white or black models. Or maybe, even more colors.



NFC Technology.
Apple might (thats right, might) be implementing the Near Field Technology to come alongside with the A5 processor. Gives iPhone 5 users the ability to use it as a wallet and pay for purchases through a tap on the screen.

Or will Apple wait till the technology becomes more popular before adding to its phone.


Even Better Camera.
Sony CEO Howard Springer commented that his firm is supplying 8-megapixel cameras for iPhone 5. The iPhone 4 now has a 5mp camera, but Apple wanted it to be an even better one. Sony will be providing the iPhone 5 with its 8mp CMOS sensor from OmniVision, with Sony being a possible backup sensor supplier next year. Laked from one of the lest afct checking conscious areas of the Mac web, so the CCDs may not come from SONY, though, a much-improved camera for Apple smartphone should be expected.



Slight change in design.
iPhone 5, claiming to have an edge-to-edge 4 inch display, would provide more space for the 326-pixel per inch Retina Display. Giving a more comfortable view for users to view text and clearer images. As usual, since the first iPhone, its size is getting slimmer and slimmer. This time, thanks to an even thinner battery.





Improved CPU performance and Graphics.
iPhone 5 hosts the low-power A5 processor used in iPad 2 built on ARM's Cortex A9 architecture together with the new dual core SGX543 graphics core. Using less power (like an A4 processor), the A5 processor is able to generate 2x faster processing and 9x faster graphics.


There are also plenty of rumors going on about iPhone 5. Below here is some of them which have a higher popularity. 

Homeless.
The home button on iPhone may be abandoned in favor of a touch responsive capacitive Home button. So the whole front surface of iPhone 5 may be made of entirely tough glass. (Cool right.)

Edge sensitive.
Apple has been experimenting with adding touch-sensitive buttons to the sides of the display, giving more control and user experience for gamers.

Apple-tena
Much more improved antenna will be introduced by Apple since the last complains of grip related call drops. The antenna may even link up to the metallic Apple's logo on the back.

Colorful covers.
The magnetic Smart Covers Apple made for iPad seems to be getting much attention. Smaller versions for iPhone 5 may be available that snaps to your phone just like how iPad covers did.

High-Def.
The new graphics chip will let you record in true 1080p and output in HD-quality. Later on, high graphics game might be available for iPhones too.

Cheaper.
Apple,s iPhone 5 release is just in time for those 3G contracts (or maybe 4G) upgrades. There are also rumors that Apple is ready to introduce cheaper models.
